Statement

“Education is a very important topic for me, as it is the key to a true and thorough change in the relation between humans and nature. Every day, wild animals like the spider monkey Nina (in the picture above) are removed violently from their mothers and get one step closer to extinction. The prevention of this is my mission and education is my way.

& to clarify / educate right away about the cover picture: Primates are not cuddly animals. I was able to get to know Nina over a period of several months as a volunteer and gain her trust. Spider monkeys don’t have thumbs and therefore can’t louse each other very well. That’s why they often give each other hugs – including at this unique moment when Nina gave me this honour.
It was countless touching moments like these that motivated me to found Animalma and to fight for the animals and nature in Bolivia.”
